These blue needle inclusions aren’t another mineral, but extremely thin internal voids of air or gas within the Quartz. When bright light hits them at the right angle, they reflect a soft blue tone, almost like smoke or fine threads suspended inside the crystal. They are naturally formed during growth and are only visible because of the way light interacts with these tiny, empty channels. This particular shiva has some blue needles spread inside the shiva, but not many.
