These fantastic and rare Ammolite specimens have the most vibrant and electric array of tones that morph and change in the light as you move them around in the light. The colorful Ammolite mineral grew on top of the Ammonite fossil over 70 million years ago and is only found in one particular spot in Southern Alberta, Canada with these types of colors. These specimens have been coated with a high quality lacquer to protect the fragile Ammolite underneath and gives the piece a smooth and glossy texture. This listing is for one intuitively selected Ammolite chunk. Size, shape, colors and flash will vary some from piece to piece.
