Colombianite Earth Treasure Formations

These incredible Colombianites are a unique type of natural obsidian found specifically in Colombia, estimated to be around 30 million years old. At first glance, they appear to be opaque until backlit, revealing a smoky, transparent interior. Found in small spherical or oval shapes, they exhibit a distinctive surface texture with dips and grooves caused by centuries of weathering and erosion. These specimens are hand-mined and collected by local people in the Cauca region of Colombia.
